Sunny, Ollie and I went on a great mini hike on Sunday up Bell Canyon. It was half a mile and I was absolutely dying. It was pathetic. We were going to go again on Tuesday with our friend Carl from Overstock but Ollie had a rough day so we stayed home.
Apparently a man was STABBED in broad daylight on this very trail on Tuesday.
"Police in Sandy are looking for an assailant accused of randomly attacking a 40-year-old hiker on a Utah canyon trail. Sandy police Sgt. Troy Arnold said the hiker reported greeting his attacker Wednesday near a reservoir on the lower portion on Bells Canyon Trail. The hiker told police the other man spoke "gibberish" before stabbing him in the arm with a walking stick tipped with a piece of sharpened metal. Police say the metal tip went through the victim's arm. He ran to a trail entrance and called police before being hospitalized in good condition. Police say the assailant is in his 20s, about 6 feet tall and thin, with short brown hair. He was wearing green cargo pants and carried a light-colored backpack."
This also reminds me of the Trolley Square shooting. Sunny was there just a couple hours before the shooting buying me a valentine's present. Weird when stuff is close calls like that.
Needless to say, the hike was fun and here are some cute pics. Ollie was worn out from the exhausting job of dangling in the Bjorn and fell asleep for the last half.

Bell Canyon is so pretty, even if you're a psychotic with a homemade dagger.
oh man! that's so pretty! I'd love to be there right now! plus, that man sounds scary, it was probabally higgin-bottom; the hobo who would expose himself to others while on the provo river trail!
That is Nick's very favorite canyon. It looks really pretty right now maybe we will have to head up there and hope we don't run into any psychos.
Looks like so much fun! We got roped into a 6 mile hike with Jenna this weekend. Wow, it was so hard!
