Pregnant

Nope, not right now, but Ashlie challenged me to post the grossest prego picture I had. I don't know if this is the grossest, but its the most disturbing to me. I look like I am carrying Ollie in my bladder or my thighs or somewhere way lower than is right. No wonder ALL maternity clothes were too tight on my waist. I didn't have a waist.

Sicky

So Ollie's been sick for a month now. I miss my cute happy buddy. Tonight he won't stop crying. So a month ago i thought he was teething. After about a week of crying we had a random doctor's appointment in which i learned he actually had an ear infection. around this time he ran out of Zantac (reflux medicine) and i decided not to refill it since he's 10 months now and I was hoping he didn't need it anymore. We also went to St George where my neice was puking. So we come home from St George and Ollie starts into some nasty diapers filled with the big D - i blame it on the amoxicyllin. He then starts puking - i blame it on the lack of Zantac. until it gets excessive and i figure its a stomach bug. Now here we are tonight, after 1 day of no D, and he won't stop crying. My question is, a) has all this been about teething and getting his 1 year molars? b) is he now some how constipated? c) is his earache back?

i miss my non-sick ollie buddy.

Long Hair

Someone find me a picture of a little boy with long hair that's straight and cute. I swear there is nothing online. I don't know if I should cut his bangs out of his eyes, or just grow them out so they are swoopy. I need a visual of what I'm going for and I can't come up with it...

Update as of Late

Ollie had clogged tear ducts. About 2 weeks ago he had an in-patient probe in which the doctor stuck a metal tool thingy down his tear ducts an inch or two and unclogged it. It was so sad but now his eyes are great!

We went to St George for Thanksgiving and Ollie played in his first pile of leaves.

We saw the lights at the temple with Sunny's parents and our nephew Dylan.

On the way home from George we stopped by my parentals for Tracy's 21st birthday. We decorated the Christmas tree and Ollie had some quality Grandpa time.

Today we had our 2nd play date with Ashlie Dalton, her 2 boys, Julie Buckner and her little girl. The boys played some cards, and watched Rudolph. I love how it looks like Cole and Max and Ayda are actually taking turns.
Cole was there too but the pics with him in it weren't as cute. Sorry Cole, you are still my favorite 3 year old!

Missed My Target

Just got back from Target. We drove there, walked in through the cold, got a cart, walked to guest services, discovered I had forgotten my wallet, put the cart back, walked back through the cold, and drove home.

But first got to fight with Ollie to get him in the car seat. Lost some hair and some skin on my lip.

And some dignity.

Nothing really happens in this video, I mostly just thought he was so cute this day. I was working on my computer and he crawled under the desk and bonked his head over and over on the wall and pooed his pants.

Anytime I set foot in the bathroom to wash my hands or throw away a diaper or anything else...Ollie speeds in there as fast as his hands and knees will carry him and tries to climb in the bathtub.

Whoops!

One day I dropped Ollie's spoon while he was eating and said "whoops!". He about choked laughing so we busted out the camera. This is him laughing after we'd been doing it for like 3 minutes and he'd actually calmed down a bit.

Flips

Here's Ollie learning how to dive head first off of the bean bag...a good skill for all budding toddlers to know.

Movie Time

We went to Memphis at the beginning of October and I forgot to post a few videos. My sister Whitney's little girl Millie just turned 2 and she is a pro talker. My favorite thing she says is "Thank you so much". Whenever you gave her something she would say, without prompting, "thank you so much". She usually stresses it a little bit differently than she does in the movie. It was usually "Thank you SOO much". Either way, its adorably polite. Apparently one time Whitney was at the store yelling at the clerk for not letting her return something and when she left angry and frustrated, Millie waved good-bye and called "Thank you so much!"

Shutterfly Christmas Cards

Since we had Ollie I have a) fully immersed myself in the blog realm, b) started visiting Target almost daily and even got a Target credit card, and c) bought a station wagon, I thought it only appropriate that I take the next step towards cliche mom-dom and make a Christmas card this year! This will be our first year doing this but we've used Shutterfly in the past to make calendars, picture share sites, develop pictures, etc so we thought we'd go with them. Apparently there is a sweet deal where you can get 50 free cards through Shutterfly by blogging about it so here goes...

The flat photo Christmas cards are nice and cheap and cute: http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationery. Don't be surprised if you get one in the mail shortly, and if you don't, its prolly cause we aren't really friends and you probably shouldn't be reading my blog, or rather, "creeping" me as Tracy might say.

Also, yes this post is cheesy but likey free Christmas cards. Especially from Shutterfly which is extra nice.

Family Pics

Tracy took some sweet family photos of us last Sunday. Or at least she tried. We have struggles looking normal for the camera. Unfortunately in most of the photos its Me or Sunny that are struggling...Ollie's a natural.

Happy Birthday Luke

Friday night we met almost all of our friends at Settebello down town for Luke's 30th. Afterwards we returned to the Dalton's for delicious Tres Leches cake and raucous round of Celebrity in which the boys won as usual. The boys win every time because they are idiots and enter such "famous" people as Cheryl Miller, "bigga legga legga", Burt Backarack, and Hugh Downs. Normal humans don't know who these people are.

I Hear Things...

...happening in Ollie's room right now. It makes me a little nervous. But he is supposed to be taking a nap and he isn't crying so we will just have to hope it isn't anything dangerous...

Here is a lovely picture of Sunny and his work peeps at Halloween. From left to right: Sunny is a farmer, Ollie is his chicken, Pete is a large gorilla obviously, Bucky is some sort of construction worker, Josh is windblown, Bucky's kiddos are woody (Gabe), buzz (Ethan), and a ladybug (Lauren).

Whit and Millie

Whitney (my sis) and Millie (her daughter) came into town to visit last month. We went to Gardner Village...

and celebrated Millie's birthday (among other things). Whitney made Millie this really cute sheep cake and we had a farmy picnicy dinner. It was cute. Millie loved the cake and went straight for the gumdrop nose and kept calling it a "bicycle" for some odd reason. She was completely spellbound when we sang happy birthday to her.

And here's just a cute picture of raspberries before bed time.

9 months

It is much harder to take a still picture of Ollie. Here is the best I could get.

9 months
Weight: 21.7 lbs (60%)
Height: 30 in (95%)
Head Size: 47 cm OR 18.5 in (90%)

So basically, he has his dad's exact same body.

Ollie can now army crawl or "cantelope" or breakdance the the inch worm across the floor. It is very nice that he can finally get around on his own. He also waves Bye and we are pretty sure he gives us "5". He loves his books, especially his Rainbow Trucks book and any book that has lift up flaps. He also loves bath time. Last night he was laying in his diaper on the living room floor and I started filling up the bath tub. He got so excited he inch wormed his way over to me. I picked him up to take his diaper off and he freaked out and tried to squirm away. I stood him next to the tub naked and he tried to lift his leg up to climb in. It was so cute especially because he was scared to death of bath's up until a month or so ago.

Toppings for your Fontanel

In Junior High I created a magazine called Toppings for Your Head that I did 2 issues of. The cover featured George Washington with an upside down ice cream cone on his head on the first issue, and santa claus with a present on his head in the second issue.

I think Up and Up stole my idea.

That or maybe putting a sweet potato on a baby's head is just universally acknowledged as great marketing.

Balloons and Homeless

So I love it when little boys have like shaggy china bowl hair cuts. I want Ollie to have that. But I think maybe now isn't the right time to grow it out. We've cut his hair twice already and were just going to let it grow out now, but I'm not sure I can take this in between phase. He looks homeless. Any tips on growing out baby boys hair??

He also has a cold (and therefore runny nose), and has clogged tear ducts still (and therefore goopy eyes). The poor buddy is looking a bit shabby these days.

But lovey him lots.

Congrats Turner's!

This has been a summer of Weddings. Our friends Mitch and Jenn got married in October. We have known them both for about 5 years and it was awesome to see them get married. A couple highlights were:

- Dinner at Market Street - Yum!
- Ollie making the cut for their couple slide show/movie thingy
- Elder Perry performed their sealing in the SLC temple
- Perry calling Mitch "Michelle" and asking Mitch what day it was at the beginning of the sealing and Mitch stating "October 9th"...it was October 7th...Jenn was hitting him and whispering that it was the 7th.
- Cheesecake and Red Velvet cake at the reception
- Andy and Sarah playing with Ollie for most of the reception :)

* For some reason the photographer told Sunny to stand a step above everyone so he is about 7 feet taller than everyone, also, I'm not really sure why Sunny has his hands on Colbie's shoulders.

Smoochies

Congrats Turner's! (another post that should have been posted months ago...)

Memphis More

I had a few more things to post on from Memphis. We had so much fun at the zoo we went back the day before we left. Ollie LOVED the giraffes. He has a wind up stuffed giraffe he sleeps with every night that plays twinkle twinkle so i like to think that's why he loved them, but he probably doesn't recognize they are the same animal...

We tried to take a picture of him with the giraffes but he would NOT turn around. This is like the grossest picture ever of me, but it cracked me up.

We then went to Elmwood Cemetary which was way creepy and awesome and finding it was almost the best part. It was just at some dead end behind a ghetto neighborhood and train tracks and warehouses. Weird.

We made donuts, and they turned out mostly good. We discovered a bit too late that we had the oil too hot at the end and they weren't cooked all the way through. Doughy donuts are really gross. But the first half of the batch were good.

Finally, the best part of the trip was watching Millie and Ollie play together. Millie is almost 2 and although there were a couple sharing issues and a couple issues with Ollie throwing things and getting scolded by Millie, they were so cute together! He would just stare at her and get all happy when he saw her. She wanted to wear "the baby Ollie's shirt" so she ended up wearing one of his jackets as a shirt one night.

* Note Millie's shirt/jacket is "the baby ollie's".
** Also note the baby, Emma Jean, is 1 month younger than Ollie....as an old southern man informed me about Ollie "That is a FAT baby". Our "little" guy tends to dwarf others his age...
***Also note, this is at Emma Jean's house, aka, Josh and Valerie Miller's. They are some friends from college and live right down the street from Whit. It was fun to see them again too!!

These are their last morning pics. I hope they remember each other and get to be even better friends as they get older!

Kiss good-bye!

Bookworm

My little bookworm

Memphis

Here we are in Memphis. Sunny is hunting with his dad, brother, and some other fam for 4 days so Ollie and I cashed in on some frequent flyer miles and went to Memphis to visit my sister Whitney and her fam.

Ollie was surprisingly tolerable on the plane. He slept for half the trip and mostly happily played for the rest. We got to Memphis Tuesday night and had some delicious BBQ chicken quesedillas at Whit's. Millie (almost 2) and Ollie had one of their first play dates.

Wednesday we went walking in this way cool park (one of the top 10 biggest parks in US) called Shelby Farms. We at dinner at a DELICIOUS pizza place called Mellow Mushroom and went to a really cute toy store. We finished off the day with an intense game of Ticket to Ride.

Thursday we got some fabric to make these way cute owls and elephants and got started sewing.

Thursday night Josh babysat and Whitney and I went downtown to Beale street and got deep fried twinkies with powdered sugar and strawberry sauce. We also saw some old ladies dancing in the street and note the man holding all of their purses.

Friday naps worked out really well and Ollie was super happy and cute all day.

We went to amazing lunch at a BBQ place called Commisary. We got barbequed nachos, Pig Sticks (sweet potato fries with tasty tasty honey mustard dipping sauce), and deviled eggs.

We sewed in the afternoon and then went to the zoo. Ollie got really into the pandas and loved the farm animals too. He even got to pet a sheep. :)

For dinner we met Josh at his Optometry school homecoming party and had more bbq (shredded bbq turkey sandwiches) and played in a bouncy house. On the way home we stopped at Muddy's Bake Shop and got some tasty cupcakes.

Millie and Ollie loving each other.
