Video Schmideo

Here are a couple video moments:

Here is Ollie saying our favorite of his words at christmas time. He got a "tiny" lightning for Christmas from Sunny's boss. Its a magnetic pez topper and he loved it. "Ty-ey light-tee" was our favorite ollie-ism for a few weeks.

Ollie is 2!

Ollie turned 2 on January 25. We had a little party with his ward play group on his actual birthday and had a family party after Henny's blessing on February 6. We borrowed a Cars 2 cake pan from our friends and made some car cakes. Ollie LOVED them. I made them a day early so for that whole day he kept pulling the stool over to the counter, climbing up and saying "see cakes". He, of course, can name all of them and was very excited about eating them. He still talks about eating "finn" and can tell you what cake all of his friends ate.

The cakes were quite a project so here they are in process. After making the cakes you glaze them with Royal Icing.

Then decorate them with normal frosting.

Here is Ollie telling me who they all are.

and here he is blowing out the candles on Finn.

Ollie's fav cousins Dyan and Kass came into town for Henny's blessing and we went to the zoo in the freezing cold

Here is the best family picture we have been able to muster so far

This pic is awful but Henny looks so cute!

Henny Badger and other Beck happenings

I finally uploaded the pictures onto my computer from my phone. Blogspot really needs a good iPhone app. I don't get why they don't have one. Or maybe they do and I'm just out of the loop. Please let me know if so.

So here's some stuff that's happened since Christmas:

We went to St George to spend Christmas with Sunny's family and saw the temple lights.

We also went hiking at Zions. You can tell we are hardcore by the double stroller.

It is pointless to buy Ollie anything that doesn't have to do with Cars.

The expression on his face affirms his love...for Cars, not me.

Henny and her dad Hangin. Cute. Both of them.

Ollie was REALLY naughty when we first brought Henny home. Thankfully it only really lasted for about 6 weeks and then it was like a switch was flipped and he was back to his normal cute and only sometimes naughty self. We took Ollie to the mall and the carousel in an effort to overcome his anger and fits...

We had some relaxing days making waffles in our new waffle iron - we found the Bruges waffle recipe and Sunny has mastered it! - and just playing with Henny's exciting activity mat.

We went to the Sandy car show and met Mater! You had to pay to get a picture of him from the front and we were much to cheap for that.

Ollie found some new toys in his diaper.

Henny got cuter...

and cuter...

and cuter!
