We inherited a Fridge/Freezer that has the freezer as a drawer. These are apparently expensive and the new trendy thing because - hey, you can fit a cheese platter or a whole turkey inside the fridge because its so wide. Please. I can tell you right now I will probably never have a cheese platter or a whole turkey in my house. Ever.
I am however CONSTANTLY inconvenienced by the damn thing.
- The Fridge is not very deep. A 12 pack of soda is too long for it.
- The water dispenser is INSIDE the fridge so you have to open the fridge and waste the cold air energy particles in order to get a nice glass of cold filtered water.
- The freezer is about half the size of our old side by side.
- Everytime I buy something for the freezer it requires a complete reorganization to get it to fit. And I can't buy everything I want to buy - and could buy in our old side by side.
- Things get smashed when you pull and push the freezer drawer in and out.
- You forget what you have in the freezer since you can't see most of it.
- Digging through it while pregnant REALLY sucks.
- The ice dispenser isn't sanitary since everyone just has to stick their hands in the ice bucket (as opposed to the on the door ice dispensers).
- I'm sure I could go on if it wasn't 11:19 pm.
I just hate it. But it was free so really I have no room to complain. I just don't understand why people like this style of fridge/freezer. It think its all a ridiculous fad and I'm not buying into it.
