So I can cook just fine, but there is something about me and baking that doesn't quite add up. Here is my attempt at a layer cake - made from scratch red velvet - for Sunny's birthday.
It cooked for 25 of the recommended 30 minutes and yes, that is liquid oozing out the side, and yes the top layer is crusty and burned, and yes our entire house was so filled with smoke from the cake boiling over that Ollie and I had to leave the house for an hour.
So Happy Birthday Sunny and enjoy your store bought cakes in the future!

SAD. I have a red velvet cake recipe that includes a cake mix and some additions. Maybe you should try that. ha ha.
