Reptile Show

We went to Toddlers and Reptiles at the South Jordan library. Ollie is scared of everything ("scary sand", "scary shakes (aka blender)", "scary dog", "scary bug (aka ant)," etc) and I'm trying to get him not to be so we went to the toddler reptile show. He was actually kind of into it and not scared at all. I use the phrase "kind of into it" loosely...

I love that Ollie is standing RIGHT next to the dude.

Post 4: Spring

This is the 4th post tonight and I'm not even half way done with all the pictures and delightful Beck anecdotes I know you are dying to hear. Here is some good spring fun with Grandma Beck at Temple Square (post City Creek visit).

I threw a Little Man/Mustache theme baby shower for my friend Jenn Winegar from the ward but I forgot to take pictures until I was halfway done cleaning it up. So here is sort of what it looked like (this is posted by request from Whitney).

Ollie and Sunny had a man trip to St George. They went 4 wheeling and hiking and had all sorts of fun adventures. 

Henny and I stayed home and had girl weekend with book stores and shoe shopping and pasta dinners.

Post 3: Lucky Charms and Ducks

For starters, in case there was any doubt, Ollie is a cool dude even when he's sleeping.

Secondly, have I mentioned we have a lake in our back yard? A small one. With lots and lots of ducks. Ollie loves them. And Henny loves Ollie.

Daybreak is great. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, this is literally like 2 houses away from our house. There are parks all over and kid pools and its a good time being a stay at home mom of toddlers here in the summer. Yes, it is sort of in no-man's land, but it is getting all the more civilized out here all the time. Move here so we don't have to drive so far to see our friends. Please and thank you.

Post 2: Little Friendlies

Henny's little boyfriend Nash lives down the street from us. His older brother Jaxon is Ollie's favorite little buddy too. They are threatening to move soon and we are not excited about that.

Henny had an easter egg hunt with little Emmett and Scarlett in the ward....

...unfortunately she didn't do so well...

Below is Ollie's fiance (if he knows whats good for him). Esther lives next door and they have been buddies since we moved here. Their love has had its ups and downs (Esther chasing Ollie, Ollie yelling "No" and hoarding his toys, Esther leaving and then Ollie reaching and calling out to her desperately). 

They are moving in a month ish too and I am already sad sad sad!

Post 1: Weirdly Diseased and Other Issues

We've had issues over here. Ollie got Hand, Foot and Mouth and then gave it to me and Henny. Henny's skin was the worst but I think I felt the crappiest. Look how sad her skin is!

Sunny was free from Hand Foot and Mouth but was plagued with Bells Palsy for the last month. This is a delightful condition in which half of your face is paralyzed for anywhere from 1 week to forever. The doctor told Sunny he was lucky and "caught it early". Not really sure how you can not notice that your face no longer moves, but all right...

We are all pretty much better though now.

Except that I broke my toe, stubbed it on Henny's activity center. It hurt much more than this picture implies. Or maybe I'm just a wuss.

Twilight Zone

Ok I know there is no point to this because twilight fans and haters are pretty cut and dry and I'm not going to be convincing anyone of anything one way or the other. But seriously, the movies somehow manage to make money...can they not hire a decent director or spend some money on real special effects? And lets talk about the make up for a minute. You've got to be kidding me. Why didn't they just write vampire with a sharpie on their foreheads. The make up is about as subtle as that would be. And who exactly thinks edward pattinson is even above average attractiveness. He is not an even remotely attractive guy. And i'm not sure its possible to list everything wrong with Jasper. 

Moving onto the story line for a minute...if you are going to be dancing cheek to cheek and gazing into the eyes of another dude at your wedding you probably shouldn't be getting married.

also, anyone recognize Shannon from Lost as one of the vampires?

I am about 6 minutes into the movie and i'm not sure i can make it through it. I'm not really sure if you can even make a spoof of this movie that is dumber funnier or more obvious than the movie itself is. 

And there's my 2 cents. We've all heard it before. And if you read my blog and have poor enough taste to disagree with me on this issue, i'm ashamed of you. And really for myself because I am the one watching the movie right now.
